The EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) is a nationally recognized certification that enables electrical contractors to engineer, design, and install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for businesses and localities across the nation. This certification puts Elliot Services in the prime position to fully service the largest infrastructure development of the decade, and it all started with a single enterprising employee-owner.

Elliot Exceeds Expectations 

Journeyman Electrician Rocco Van Berge was working with a Fortune 500 customer in need of a complete overhaul of their existing facilities in Lexington, KY. Elliot Services was brought onto the project following the failure of a previous contractor to meet the high expectations of the customer. After exceeding the customer’s expectations of the existing contract, Van Berge was presented with the opportunity to expand the contract with the installation of a brand-new Electric Vehicle charging station. 

Exhibiting the entrepreneurial spirit of all Elliot employee-owners, Van Berge went straight to work on studying for & obtaining the necessary EVITP certification and expanded Elliot’s contract to install the full EV charging station infrastructure. Van Berge’s hard work and determination enabled Elliot to continue providing the highest standard of service to this customer and opened the door to the future of electrical infrastructure to all their existing — and future — clients.

This client is the first of many to require a substantial infrastructure overhaul in response to the rapid growth of Electric Vehicle technology. “The wave of the future is EVs.
