We’re excited to share the completion of a recent project that truly tested our team’s skills and expertise. Elliot Services recently undertook a complex endeavor for the City of Tompkinsville at their water treatment plant. The task? Removing a 60-year-old motor control center and replacing it with a state-of-the-art Square D Motor Control Center.
What made this project particularly challenging was the location of the motor control center on the second floor of the building within a cramped and confined space. To accomplish the replacement, we had to meticulously plan every step. This included removing the window on the second floor and carefully craning in the new MCC piece by piece. Once inside, our team worked to assemble the new equipment, all while ensuring minimal disruption to the water treatment operations.
Given the critical role of the water treatment center in the town’s infrastructure, there was pressure to complete the project quickly and efficiently.
We are grateful for Grandview Welding’s invaluable assistance. Their expertise guaranteed the safe lowering of demoed material and facilitated the secure hoisting of the new equipment to the second floor. Their professionalism and skill set were outstanding, and we couldn’t have completed this project without them.
This project serves as a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment and capabilities, even when faced with enormous pressure and obstacles. We’re proud to have contributed to the continued operation of the water treatment plant and look forward to more challenges in the future.
